The Fort Langley Golf Course for the Budget Bride

Before my hiatus in the summer, I had the chance to tour a hidden gem in Fort Langley that has no minimum food and beverage spend amounts! Yes, you read that right. Today, I’ll be telling you why you should consider the Fort Langley Golf Course for your wedding.

They can accommodate intimate 50-person weddings as well as large parties of up to 250. They have 3 banquet rooms available for rent, which can be combined to fit your guestlist. Rental rates range from $275 (The Douglas Room, up to 50 guests, portable bar, and fireplace) to $900 (all 3 rooms, up to 250 guests). Not a bad deal at all! All room rentals include full setup/takedown, linens, napkins, table skirting, china, cutlery, heated patio, appropriate staffing, mic and podium, dance floor and complimentary wifi. You can also hold wedding ceremonies in front of the fireplace in the Douglas Room or in front of the big window at the Thompson Room at a cost of $2.50/person. Take note that the rooms don’t have iPod hookup so you will have to bring in your own sound system if you wish to play your own music.

Although you are not allowed to bring in your own alcohol, they will be able to order your drink of choice if it’s not on their menu. They tell me their guests often rave about the food, which makes this an even better deal, don’t you think? The venue is also quite flexible in terms of decorating. If there are no events prior to yours, you can store your decor at the venue and come in to decorate as early as 6AM on the day of your event. They may even have room for your flowers and cake in their fridge for storage, just ask and see if they can help you out. If you’re looking for photo backdrop ideas, Derby Reach Park and downtown Fort Langley are nearby. They also have a pretty cool “flower wall” made up of old white napkins in the foyer. It would be a cool place to set up a photo booth to welcome your guests.
