Reward Yourself!

Reward Yourself!

Using credit cards to pay for wedding expenses can be advantageous, if done properly. We all know that a lot can be spent on a wedding so why not earn some points while you’re at it? Get a credit card that will give you the rewards you want, like travel miles (for your honeymoon perhaps?), rebate coupons or free groceries (always handy in a marriage). This will help you get more out of your wedding spending, but don’t rack up a huge wedding debt. The rule of thumb should be, don’t use the card if you don’t have the cash. I strongly encourage all couples to only spend what you can afford to pay off right away, besides, would you really want to pay the high interest every month? I wouldn’t. Lastly, don’t forget to doublecheck which cards your vendors accept. Some businesses may not accept certain cards, if any!

To compare credit cards that offer rewards, check out these websites:

If you really like the vendor’s work but they don’t accept credit cards, I wouldn’t let that deter me from booking them. In the end, go with the vendor you like most, the credit card points are just a welcome bonus.
