Just Add Love Wedding Show I’m so glad I was finally able to make it to the Just Add Love Wedding Show. “The little wedding show with big heart” didn’t disappoint. I arrived at Heritage Hall shortly after the show opened and already a big crowd of brides-to-be and their entourage were chatting it up with the over 30 vendors present. Up front and centre was the Bespoke Tea Lounge sponsored by Bespoke Decor Rentals. It was a nice area for guests to hang out, have a cup of tea, and take in the atmosphere of the show… nearby, guests were able to enjoy the musical stylings of a classical guitarist from Musical Occasions. Across from the lounge is a new vendor I met called Brown Paper Packages Ice Cream. They can provide gourmet ice cream sandwiches for dessert or even a Sundae Bar for your wedding. I tried a sample of their cardamom ice cream with lemon almond cookie and it was decadent.

I met up with a few of Vancity Vendors and friends who were at the show. Niche Event Stylists had a gorgeous corner of the room with an elegant soft pink, champagne and cream table setup. I loved how soft and feminine her designs looked… and so many flowers! A big plus for me :)

Kunioo was also there and had a gorgeous display and lounge area so brides and grooms can enjoy the sample wedding videos they were playing as well as look through albums of their work.

Taylor Roades Photography and Opus Hotel were also on hand and they were holding fun Instagram contests by having guests take photos in a fancy chair or wearing funky buttons – very cool! Makes contests a little more fun and interesting, I think! Next up, beautiful jewelry from another Vancity Vendor, The Borrowed Collection. Elise also tells me that veils for rent are coming very very soon so stay tuned for those :) In the meantime, have a look at these beauties.

The hall was packed with vendors and I had the privilege to meet new some new faces. The first is a floral wholesaler for those brides who want to DIY their own bouquets. The Latest Event Inc. provides wholesale/bulk pricing on quality flowers, delivered to your door 2 days before the wedding. They had some bouquets on display… aren’t these beautiful?

Jenny Bakes‘ cakes caught my attention, too. I loved the rustic look of her naked cake topped with purple flowers… I liked how smoothed it looked as opposed to other similar cakes I’ve seen. The ombre cakes and hand-painted cookies were almost too beautiful to eat. I did have a sample of their salted caramel cupcake (topped with caramel popcorn) and it was good! Wish I got another one…

The Posy Box was also new to me – they create custom gift boxes! From beauty products to tea to coffee to baked goods, they package it all together very nicely for you to give to your special someone. I think they would make great welcome gifts for out of town guests or even bridal party presents. Here are a few sample boxes they had on display.

Another florist I met at the show is also at the Pop Up Wedding Shoppe until February 28th. So if you missed Green With Envy at this show, there’s still another chance to see her work in person. I loved the look of her earthy designs, very unique.

Paper Heart Films traveled all the way from Victoria to be at the show as well, as they are looking to branch out to the Lower Mainland. Their packages start at around $2,000 and they tell me that even with the ferry costs, their total price still ends up being a great deal for Vancouver couples… maybe something worth looking into?

Jaclyn and Natalie (of 6pence Weddings and The Wedding Workshop, respectively) did an amazing job with the show. I thought there was a good variety of vendors including those that offered some out of the box services. It was a good sized show and not overwhelming at all. What can be improved for next year is perhaps the layout, as I found it a bit crowded. Hope you liked my little recap! Thank you Jaclyn and Natalie and hope to see you again next year!
