Vancouver Wedding & Honeymoon Fall Show Recap

The Vancouver Wedding & Honeymoon Show was held yesterday and I got a chance to check it out. Here’s how my day went…

Vancity Vendor Kristy from Chic & Unique Event Design had a booth at this show. She had a beautiful table setup in a black, silver, and hot pink theme. I especially loved the napkin rings and her custom silver tree with curly willow branches and crytals hanging off it. She has a promotion for anyone who books from now until November 15th – $3.25 per chair cover & sash (including setup and teardown). It’s regularly $3.75 each so book now!

I met the ladies of Sweet Beginnings as well. The feature photo of this blog post is their table setup. I love their colour scheme of blue, light pink with a pop of yellow. The rose chair sash is unique to me… I’ve never seen a chair accessory like that before! They tell me they have a decor package promotion right now. For a 100-person wedding, just pay between $100-150 for full decor package with setup and teardown of chair covers, linens, backdrops, everything except florals. Get a hold of Jodi and get a quote for your wedding!

Milestone Events was a last minute addition to the wedding show lineup. I met one of their planners, Cailyn at the spring Veil Show and today I finally met the leader of the pack, Tanya Peters. She was excited to tell me about Milestone Events’ bootcamp for DIY brides. It’s a 10-week course where you will learn wedding planning fundamentals like timeline development, budget creation, decor, menu planning and more so you will be prepared to take on the big task of planning your own wedding! They will be reviewing your timelines and suggesting vendor referrals based on your needs as well. Tanya tells me she’s got some event professionals lined up as guest speakers to give bootcamp students even more tips and insight into the industry. It costs $499.95 and evening classes start in January in Vancouver and Surrey. Contact them if you’re interested! In the meantime, check out this awesome table they set up at their booth today. I especially love Tanya’s floral centerpiece!

This is my third Vancouver Wedding & Honeymoon show and I’ve never seen a food vendor until now. I met Sinfully the Best today. They are Steveston-based chocolatiers and they had samples of their delicious artisan chocolates. Of course I tried some, how could I resist? They have a store on Chatham and #1 Road in Richmond so feel free to stop by, say hello, and most importantly, have a bite of their tasty treats!

Bello Wedding World showed off some gorgeous wedding dresses at today’s fashion show! They tell me they are currently having a SAMPLE SALE! Enjoy discounts up to 75% off on sample wedding gowns, evening gowns and bridesmaid dresses from now until October 15th. They are also offering a 15% discount on new orders so give them a call and set up an appointment! For more fashion show pictures, check my Facebook page.

Can’t have a wedding show without the folks from Real Weddings. As usual they were handing out copies of Real Weddings and the Complete Wedding Directory. They have the latest issue of Real Weddings which feature Vancity Vendor Fiorire Custom Florals’ bouquet on the cover and a vintage photoshoot by Vancity Vendor Denise Lin Photography! I can’t wait to read my new mags! They also had a photobooth setup by Le Studio. Take a photo in the booth and instantly you’re in the cover of a Real Weddings magazine. How fun! Bryan’s Bride was also there and they tell me they currently have a 50% off sale going on at their Brentwood store. Call them for an appointment! It’s been a great show and I just want to thank the wedding show organizers again for allowing me to be a part of it. See you in the spring!
