Vancouver Wedding and Honeymoon Show Recap

March 27th, 2011 by Jeannine

Spring Wedding Show-11

I was looking forward to this show all week and it didn’t disappoint. There were definitely a lot of options and something for everyone’s budget. There were no florists, bakers and caterers but what they lacked there, they made up for in wedding attire, honeymoons, photography, and everything else. Now… my highlights!

Fashion Show

What wedding show doesn’t have a fashion show? ¬†They showcased lingerie, swimsuits, tuxedos, and bridal gowns from Bryan’s Bride. They modeled gowns with different silhouettes and even some plus-sized dresses. It was a good variety of dresses to see.

Bryan’s Bride Dress Sale

In the far corner of the show was a curtained area where dresses were sold at 50% off or with prices starting at only $299! It was a show only sale, and for those who managed to get one, it was one heck of a deal.

Pure White Studio Special

Pure White Studio is comprised of 3 talented photographers and they have 2 Show Specials that don’t expire til March 31st and April 30th, respectively. If you book their services by March 31st, you can choose one of these complimentary add-ons: 4 additonal hours of coverage on the wedding day, a gallery wrap canvas cluster, or the combo of a photo guestbook and 16×24 canvas print. If you book by April 30th, you will receive $200 off.

Wine Registry

The Legacy Liquor Store has a wine registry for the couple who has everything they need, but wants to stock up their bar with high quality wines, beers and spirits. It’s definitely something you don’t see often.

Arbonne Parties

I stopped by the Arbonne booth and one of their consultants, Jackie, told me they had great options for stagettes and bridal showers, like a spa party or a make-up party. It’s a great chance to try their products and get pampered with your friends, plus if you host, you get a gift!

Free Magazines!

Free Aislewalk and Real Weddings magazines make me happy :)

Valley Weddings/Simple Soiree Weddings and Events

I met a mother/daughter team who has a decorating business (Valley Weddings) as well as a wedding coordinating business (Simple Soiree Weddings and Events). They have great rates for Day Of Coordination and are willing to work with people’s budgets to make their event look amazing.

The Metro Hall

The Metro Hall is a new venue in the heart of New Westminster. It’s a beautiful space with a ballroom that can accommodate up to 268 people and a smaller lounge room that can hold up to 64. They pride themselves in being a one stop shop venue and even offer video and audio equipment rentals.

I’ve also met a bunch of great vendors who have options for brides on a budget. They are Now Photography, Eternal Reflections Photography, Janet R Photography, Grace Photography, Clear the Floor (choreography for that memorable first dance), Life Studios Cinema and Photo, and Erin Gilmore Photography. Vancouver is definitely¬†full of wedding talent. It was awesome to meet you all and hope to hear from you again soon. A big thank you goes out to the organizers of the Vancouver Wedding and Honeymoon show for letting me be a part of it. See you at the next one!
