Costco Wedding Flowers

April 15th, 2011 by Jeannine

You can get a bouquet of white roses like this from your neighbourhood Costco.

I love Costco, you can buy everything there, appliances, books, groceries, clothes, and even flowers for your wedding… for a great price too! If you are a member and want a bouquet of roses on your big day, you can get it for $59.99 at your local Costco. The catch? There is absolutely no customization, meaning you can’t add any other flowers, but you can at least choose which colour your roses will be, red, white, yellow or pink. The bouquet is comprised of two dozen roses, hypericum, freesia, and salal hand tied with an ivory or white ribbon.¬†Bridesmaid bouquets are also available for $29.99. They contain a dozen roses, alstroemeria, and salal, hand tied with an ivory or white ribbon. For the guys, you can order 2 simple rose boutonnieres for $9.99.

All orders are prepaid and require 3 weeks notice. These are not available between February 1st to the 15th, something to keep in mind if you have a Valentine’s Day wedding.¬†Costco doesn’t deliver, so you’ll have to pick it up the day before your wedding (or whatever time is best for you) and it will come in a bucket of water so it’ll stay fresh. Just think, it’ll save you from paying a delivery charge of roughly $50 that other florists charge.

If you want other flowers, you can always order them bulk from Costco, the floral manager there will gladly give you a flyer with pricing. They have a pretty good selection and each bunch is $9.99. Keep in mind though, that the number of stems per bunch varies depending on the kind of flower. For example, you’ll only get 3 hydrangeas in a bunch, compared to 6 Dendrobium orchid, 7 gerbera daises or 17 carnations. It doesn’t come pre-arranged but it’s definitely a more affordable option if you are making your own centrepieces or hand tying your own bouquet.
